The 583ss of mine is currently on 15/40 and I have a 41.

Should I be running the 14t front as its the later model? My first outing will be Oulton which lower gearing suited my R1.

To back what chris woods said..you just got to get on them and ride them!...none of us have ridden the 583's at oulton yet and the track day we have there will be a good time to try out the gearing...although i ran the same gearing at Assen and BH..which suprised me......so at oulton im not changing it..the 583 deffo struggle to pull the tall gearing ..well mine does....

start it....thrash it..ride it..and get over the line......

I change at up at 8k through the gears then hold top...so if I get 9500 it means it's along straight....Assenesque....

Try to think 250 2stroke, you'll be fine.

Oulton is meant to be fast...so I'm leaving it.
