Get an ST! 170 miles before the yellow and then another 30, still only £15 to refill.

wow ... after reading the answers I'm glad I filled up at the services and did not push it 28 miles to the locao S/market.

Think next time the light comes on I will fill up ASAP.

My ST gets about 10 miles to a litre and supposedly has a 6 litre reserve, why not fill up do 100 miles see how much fuel you then need to fill up again, this will let you know how many miles/litre you average. I'm sure your manual will tell you the size of your reserve.

The question is why does the fuel light normally come just after you've passed the petrol station, and start wondering how far too the next one?

I've got 30 miles on the 996, as for the Multi, i think it would go further with the light on than before the light came on because the fuel gauge was so ****

Oh dear i only used the name of a fish..c a r p and it was censored.

Only 170 miles, I got 170/180 the other day with 3 bars or so still to go, took 15/16 litres to fill (23 litres tank I believe) and that was travelling at 80/90 with all panniers on motorway.
I always use Optimax it does seem to go a bit further.
