Computer question

My daughter has managed somehow to move the bar which is normally at the bottom of the screen to the left hand side. How do I restore it to the bottom? I'm sure in the past I've dragged it down but doesn't seem to want to work today.
It is Windows XP home edition.
Thanks

Try a right-click with the mouse, when its over the bar (Taskbar) - there will be an option that says "lock the Taskbar" - if its ticked - it needs 'unticking'.

Select this - then you should be able to drag it down to the bottom as normal.

Tried this Frank. It's not locked. Dragging it just increases the width of it.

Strange - I've just moved it in my XP home and back again by simply dragging from the centre of the taskbar, down to the base of the screen.

Perhaps - close all other task and maybe try it straight after a reboot.

Thanks Frank. I was not doing it from the centre but trying to drag the edge.
