The fitment was as rounded as the plastic mushrooms are...I didn't see a problem with it digging in the ground , anyway surely the fairing would give some protection towards that.

I agree the fairing would give some protection, i was unaware that the fitment was rounded in shape, i assumed like most it would be a solid protusion that the mushroom would screw or be bolted into
