Hey i'm hoping that bump arrives before I leave!

There is a Ducati club in Perth thats been going for 25years so i'm told - I'll see if I can convert a few this way However I can see a new monster club springing up as there will be 3 of us there an I did see a few when I was there last.

The logistics of all this is dead scary - I think i'd rather be racing but in the end it will be so worth it.

If you pay me i'll sneak you as far as the plane - Well I gotta earn a living somehow, even if i'm not allowed

Apart from the obvious of starting a new life with Ade - i'm also hopefully going to go back to something i'd forgotten how much I love. I got out of horses 15 years ago when I broke my pelvis and various other less important bones in a fall competing in cross country. One of the reasons I hate lefts - cos I simply can't get off the bike that way. I used to compete weekly and was trained by a german olympic coach. I'd given up all hope of returning to teaching mostly. However Ade has encouraged a skill I take for granted - So if anyone visits Perth sometime in the future and fancies an outback trek on horseback plus a hoon around the local scenic routes on a few more hp - then you'll know who to call

The future is bright - and by god i'll miss the DD paddock and miss talking to Max on the start grid telling him we'll both be fine. I'll miss the friendship that is DD, i'll miss all the friends i've made through the pure fact of owning a Ducati. I'll miss Scotland but hey i'm marrying a Scot. We'll make it work - oh yes!

I started DD not knowing what to expect - I was bought down to earth, had my confidence shattered in 05 and almost gave up then. I couldn't handle not trying again in 06 despite all sorts of lifes ups and downs during.

I'd like to think that somewhere along the line someone somewhere has looked at this, followed last years website, and thought if she can do it so can i. Max isn't a dedicated race bike, he's my road bike too. I put in more miles last year on the road than the track visiting dsc'ers as much as I could manage.

If you want to try racing a Ducati I can think of no better way than join the DSC - get a DD bike - you'll be made very welcome - ask Andy 900ss perhaps ?

You're all stars, ambassadors with a passion, forget the politics and this stuff is amazing - Hmmmm i'm gettin all emotional now !!!! Feck that!

Blimey - I've made a huge amount of friends and my future hubby too through the ownership of my Max, for that i'm eternally grateful.

For the experience that is DD - PRICELESS
