Thanks for the response fellas,

Those Cyclecat bars look good on ebay, I'll put a bid in.

As I suspected, you've confirmed the clearance problems with instruments when mounting lower bars. I don't really want to start re-positioning them by cutting and shutting the mounting frame.
The standard riding position is OK, just the actual clip-ons are poor and weigh a fair bit.

Almost the first thing I did with the bike after I bought it was register on the Superlight site. Really helpful chap with the few questions I had.

It would seem a lot of Ducatis stand idle for long periods of time and things start seizing up. I've spent a lot of time sorting minor faults out, its now time to start enjoying the brilliant handling, brakes and grunt out of corners.
