I guess it is due to the straight line speed, especially the 583s, and people being modest. Unfortunately having a 600/620m, whether you race or not, is probably a bit like having a motard. Straight line heroes on R1s doing 160+, suddenly coming across something going 50-60-70mph slower!

What do they [Monster/SS 600s] do flat out? 100mph? 110? My old 600m did about 95. What do the 620s do standard? Maybe 115?

Yeah, cos theres a lot of straights at Donington, especially on the National.............
