Have to say I agree, I think the GP bike is way ahead in styling of anything else, as the 916/996 generation of bikes were.
It would be a shame not to allow the looks of the GP bike to be released to a wider market. The more that desirable Ducatis that are on the streets, the higher the profile of the company will be.
After all I think if you can afford the £37000 asking price of the GP bike, something like a Ducati's new 1200cc looky-likey copy is not really going to spoil owning one.
I'm sure Ducati will make more money from the 999 replacement than the GP bike. What the masses think is more important than upsetting a few rich people who have a GP bike knowing there will be a "cheap" £12000 copy out there.
