Hello NBs996

cheers mate, will have another think about it,
I can't imagin it would be that difficult to fit, but as you
say check them bolts . .

not that I intend to pull a bus, just worried I leave the back of
my car' chassie on the road. . .

Make sure you go to a reputable fitter and get a good bar (like a Witter), they can do a lot of damage if they dont know what they are doing.

Finally chech the ride height of the bar with the trailer to ensure balance.

I would spend the extra money and go for a witter tow bar, I fitted one to my transit van and it was simple, the electrics was the hardest thing to do but that was easy just took a bit of time finding the correct wires to connect to.

Also some of the cheaper makes of tow bars suggest that you only tow a certain weight/type of trailer.

I hope this is of some use to you

Some are easy to fit, some are hard. I fitted one to my Fiat, took me most of a sunday afternoon and some seriously large drill bits. Some cars have the holes already there and you literally just bolt the thing on. My Fiat didn't!!
