I'm asking the RC to try to contact NE to see what's going on.

None of us can get through, and I'd assume that the RC would have access to a number which would be answered.

That's all, nothing dodgy going on.

Also, you're right to a certain degree when you say about me asking the RC to represent us. It's obvious what's been going on today, and nobody in authority has stepped up to represent their riders and find out what the issue is.

Don't forget we're all DSC members here and clearly getting a bum deal. Why is it only the riders who can see this?

PJ may be away today (at Donny I think), but Monty has logged in several times, and as a regular reader of the NE forum, he is well aware of what has been going on.

I guess we feel a bit disappointed that's all. It's not a Domski wind up. We're genuinely at a loss.

I don't think you're meddling at all. I do think that DD riders are misunderstood and thought to be moaning continuosly, which may well be the case - but why is that?

I only have the telephone number that appears in the entry regs and Dom also knows from his email exchange with Emma at NE earlier in the week that they are short staffed with a couple of people away.

Initialy I thought it strange when New Era said the extra races could be had for £25 the same price as they would normally charge for one extra shorter race, maybe they knew at that point that unless you had entered both the races in an additional class they were not going to accomodate you. Maybe they want £50 for the extra race

At Oulton when I went to sign on with 2 scrutineering cards for both DD Class A and B they confimed the mixed grid and would only let me in the SVs if I entered both races at £50 as they had posted off my £50 credit note that morning.

Maybe one of the MT members of the RC does have a different number to call, but as the extra classes are entered on the basis that you are a full NE member I can't see as there is much that can be done if grids are full of people paying £130 for there grid slot

How do you know what was said in my email exchange with New Era? I don't remember copying you in on those details Kev?

You've been in my house again haven't you

Yeah I thought it was a bit odd too. If it was £50 though, you'd have thought they would do what they normally do - accept your entry and write a note saying £25 due on race day.

This has got to rank right up there alongside JFK and Roswell in the conspiracy stakes, surely?
