That'd be useful, I think I will.

I ride a road shift, but I'm sure that can be altered?

You might need to find another lever or something. Dickie runs the shift lever straight off the gearbox spline with no linkages - it's not a road shift one turned around (which tends to break them, IME). But as you say, I'm sure that will be the least of your problems once you've got a bike sorted!

Oh right, I stand corrected. Grahame turned the linkage around on the DD bike he built for me, but on mine last year and the rearsets I had on the 998R were just the lever straight off the spline.

After having my linkage break in the race at Assen and having seen similar issues I'm only going to run the shift lever off the spline in future, no linkages.

I've never been able to get my head around race shift.....

I'd blow it up if I rode it like that. Not good.

It's pretty much the standard when you buy a set of reverse pattern rearsets. The ones I had on the 998R were DP ones that were black with carbon hangers. Very nice. The one's I had on the DD bike last year were Sigma Performance rearsets because they do replacement footpegs separately etc. Oh yeah, and they were sponsoring me
