Ah well, that depends upon what point in the fashion circle you are , a few years ago white/pink was considered cool now its girlie. thats the problem with bling, its fashion and only in for a very short period of time

Any mods are always a matter of taste but I actually quite like seeing bikes with a minimum of changes, an R is a wonderful, special bike not a mass market R6 but its each to their own anyway you probably wouldn't appreciate my current restoration project which is where my spare cash will be going . I'll end up with something that will be rare, very special and different it just won't have topless model calendar appeal

er, its not a ducati though but here ya go , 1 of 98 remaining Montjuics, based on the formula race bike, high comp pistons, high lift cams and with a full 105 dB exhaust as standard honest mr MOT tester, oh and no indicators or mirrors either, can I have the certificate please . Not bling, far from it in its current state and its going to take some work, last time it ran was 1992!! stored in a barn and with almost all its original parts.

when its finished it'll look like this

Like I said, each to their own, it won't appeal to many but it does me

that photos an SFC which I have a very strong yearning for but can't afford , I found an SFC replica but at 12000 euro out of my price range.

Monty's are quite cool although in Laverda circles not considered by some to be as good as Jota's or 750's, sad really when you consider how rare they are with only 125 made, 98 of which are left according to the expert on them and the performance they had. that little 500 was good for 120MPH although a 500 SL was maybe a bit quicker. I was very, very lucky to get it, a close friend of mine who has owned it for 23 years but doesn't have time to put it back together kindly let me have it.

About 5 years ago i had to collect an SFC from Slaters for someone. It was loverly. I've allways had a thing about laverdas, The monty was the iconic must have when i was a teen. More so than the Jota. there used to be one that ran about the Dorking area in 78ish. What a noise it made, promised one day it was for me, but i've only just got round to building the triton. Enjoy.

having restored many 2/4 wheeled vehicles to standard trim, mk1 Mexico, Mk2 Mexico, RS1600i, various LC's & YPVS, I can appreciate anybodys dedication and passion when executed well

Me, I appreciate everyone has and is entitled to their own take on what is or isn't an acceptable/suitable modification, I never consider myself to be a higher authority on someone elses project

If its your bag, then it's ok with me !

always like Laverdas & Guzzis myself, 'cos they are different

but I was proud of my R6
always got complimentary comments from those who took the time to look at it, quite a compliment for the Belgarda Yamaha Team to use it on their Hospitality Suite I am sure you would agree !!

Each to their own ! that's my take on it

but I ain't wearing pink no matter what you say....LOL

yeah, it is each to their own, luckily biking has loads of choices and options or me might all be riding Harley's , please don't get me wrong on bling as both my 999 and multi have been modified, exhausts, carbon, etc but the most important thing is they are there to be ridden and at times I wonder whether the big custom projects lose track of this with the bike being more important than it being used

Pink will be back, it was last year in mountain bike dh and dirt jump
