Its made me think about when I started racing ... I was running a 350 velocette (stop laughing at the back, it was only 5 years ago !) in vintage events, even then I was entering up to 3 classes per meeting, so I got to race behind a lot of 500s, and they were so slow into the corners I got really fed up with them ... so I bought one. A velo 500, so it felt and handled just the same as my 350.
The very first meeting I rode it at everything was going really well as I got used to the extra grunt, and then I came off it 3 times in 2 days as well as surviving a massive holding-on-by-one-hand-with-feet-flying-in-the-air-highside.
Well, it was 3-sisters, and it was wet
