Coxy, before asking about the mods i would ask for the correct torque settings, that way this one might not fall off!
Also change your avatar please, that yellow hurts my eyes!!

You use the plate and nut off the later bikes with the switch on the stand. Costs about a fiver for the pair

Yeah, I had my 888 converted to non-flip up 'cos I didn't really trust the flip stands to stay down as I got off the bike.

But, that's not ideal as I like the bike to be on the stand when I get on it, since it helps my stumpy little legs swing over the seat if the bike is canted towards me - plus of course there's less danger of slipping and dropping the bike.

Trouble is that when I'm on the bike you then need double jointed ankles to hook your foot around the stand to flip it up again.

I know what I need - a non-flip stand for when I get off and a flip stand for when I get on
