Every chance it is genuine, although I do wonder about the replacement engine being the one used by JR to win BSB and then detuned to be put into this bike.
Having run a couple of bikes at the TT and having my 2003 Prody 600 still in my garage and the bike we used in 2002 which we borrowed from Senna3 and was Weeksys old Fireblade, I know you don't need anything to special for the prody, a fast rider, sorted suspension and a decent tyre budget are the main requirements.
Somewhere out there is a Ex John McGuinness 999R ridden under Monster mob colours at the 2003 TT, Bike was very standard looking apart from the paint job. Sadly it did'nt get a decent result due to its poor fuel range and by the time McGuinness had pushed it to the pits from Governors Bridge at the end of the 2nd lap he was totally kknackered.
So don't expect to much from a prody class bike, even a Superstock bike has a higher spec
