Had its first service yesterday, the mechanic at italia isnt quite sure what it it is, however he thinks it could be the discs, im going to give them a few hundred more miles just to be sure they have fully bedded in, if that fails they will fit a new set of discs. Cheers for the imput guys.

its not flat is it

Mine had new discs under warranty at the 12000 mile service they were warped.

I also had a problem after 3,000 mile with a judder from 65-59mph when braking, it was suggested that it was the tyre as the discs semmed Ok with very little run out, the tyre did show signds of not running true.
Tyres replaced, still the problem but not as bad. Neil at Cornerspeed checked the discs and the discs were in spec, however following a short run on the bike he agreed it was a problem. DUC say the banjo problems does not apply to the 999/749 but they have agreed to replace both discs and pads.
I will be having these fitted next week and will keep you posted on the results
