IMO there are two main reasons for folks to leave the board.
1)Yep the DSC has had some "issues" lately,..and also a lot of probs with the website. How off putting can it be to be unable to log on for hours,..and then when you do eventually get on,find a load of nastiness and childish rants.
Thankfully things in the club and website have calmed down and things are coming back to normal.
2)People buy motorcycles for lots of reasons,..to look cool as a fashion accessory,on a whim, coz it was always summat they wanted to do,because its in their blood,or simply just because MCN told them to!
Either way, lots of folks come here to gather info and to join in on runs or whatever.Next summer that same person may sell the bike for the next latest, greatest thing.(Usually when the bike needs a 12k service! )
Some folks suffer or witness a big crash that puts them off.
Either way,as many folks leave the board as join.
Personally I also spend some time on the Ducatisti board,(as do a few others here!),thet seem a friendly bunch with not a hint of nastiness,.....just like this board used to be!

Dont forget the UKMOC bud - started in 2001 !

Hello

It's only a website

I have no idea why people have left, or to be honest care.
I still meet up with all the guys and gals at rideouts and meets/trackdays
whether there in the DSC or not, and still have a laugh or two

This site has over the years provided me with a sourse of information
enabling me to keep the bike on the road.

I find it easier to be positive about the way the site is going, people will
leave, and people will join take from it what you will.

Wink if everyone agrees with censorship . . .

why dont you just make the board "members only" then you can all be nice and gentle with each others ego's - "jolly good show" and all that rubbish - cause thats what this place is turning into!

Do I look beautiful - does my bike polish up nicely - oh what a lovely track day it was - do you mind if I pass you - on the outside and yes you are beautiful (even if in the eyes of anyone else on the planet you are a MUNTER) - oh you are much too fast for us - we will have to black flag you as its meant to be a gentle affair etc etc!!

Khushy

anyone for tea???

8-)

You've got the wrong site mate - www.ducatisti.co.uk is the place for the love in. Anyway if it was members only you'd have to join

Typical comments from a non member with a blooming great chip on his shoulder. Whats so wrong with being nice and gentle with each other at least we are as one and not fragmented like some Comments like that **** me of and only cause more contention for this board to have to address. Im in two minds whether to actually bite on this or just ignore it . Why is it mostly non members that are the ones all to eager to stir it. 4D

Now now chaps. I think this has gone on long enough and is now serving no useful purpose, other than to prove we need to behave like adults instead of adolescent schoolboys. Can't we just agree to differ, shake hands and get back to our game of rugger?
