I got a lovely trophy for my 3rd in the sv race on saturday.
I personally dont care about size, its the thought put into the presentation that I remember the most.

I think we should just get the ordinary ne trophies and have 'DD special awards' as well so they go to the riders 'trying the hardest but not getting the podium' or 'most spectacular recovery' or 'biggest start line wheely'.
Lets celebrate the events in some special way that involves the dd supporters too.

Oi! You were the one that told me there were only SV trophies for the first 2 places.

*grumbles* Could have been my first racing trophy. And so valued! ;-)

I'm still putting some money aside for mine... About £200 each meeting. I do prefer a really big one rather than a lot of small ones, so I don't rush.

Yeah, but can you smoke them

Actually, I've got a couple of trophies for Karate as well. A couple of them are really cheapo plastic cups, one is a real cheap statue of a bloke doing a Jackie Chan type move and it's head came off the first time I knocked it over on my desk. As a token gesture I suppose they're better than nothing, but not exactly something you would be proud to show your mates.

On the other hand I got third place in an association competition and got a nice bronze medal - just like in the olympics. It's the same size as an olympic bronze and really chunky and weighty. I'm dead proud of it.

So proud of it that I'm going to get a big feck off chain to go with it and make a rap video

Whadya reckon? Gold, Silver, Bronze?

It was a plastic coffee cup Phill with biro on it, so don't feel too undervalued

It was funny though
