H0nd@ Dominator - Any Thoughts

A Mate at work has been offered a H0nd@ Dominator for commuting, G Reg 28,000 miles , Scottoiler, New Tyres/ Discs. Any one know anything about these bikes? Usual H0nd@ levels of build? Seller has quoted £1100-1250 for value.

Any thoughts???

Many thanks,

Ian

Fitted mine with a big bore kit, cam, pipe, jet kit and a set of 3 spoke alloys, made for a good hooligan tool.
Good bikes if serviced on a regular basis

Many thanks for that...it looked a pretty good bet for commuting, but as a weekend only 996 rider, I didn't feel totally qualified to comment

I was well chuffed with mine for commuting, despatching and a bit of off road,

Chains don't last long, watch out for standard stuff, esp worn discs, squeaky swing arm bearings, seem to remember mine had grease nipples but it was a very early one.

Watch out for worn bore if oil hasn't been changed regularly.

Tappets can get clattery but they're simple lock nuts, no shims

Bodywork is expensive if you damage it, but gaffa tape gives street cred.

Check rims as they bend easily if its been off road.

Fun bike to commute on.
