KeefyB thanks,do you have a 999Sbip?.
It's a first for me and I,m on 13'000 miles,
but the chance of getting away so lighty is so small, all I lost was a pint of oil, it was a small hole,
Now I know it can happen on a normal road I would'nt risk it,prevention is cheaper and safer,

Mines a 999S monoposto.
I have'nt touched the sump down yet,..despite several humpback bridges and very bumpy roads.I have got the rear end set up fairly high tho,..preload and ride height just about on the max.Compression damping is on the hard side too.

my one is set hard,no sag on the rear and the ride hight is high as well, the front is as hard as I can take and the spring wound right up,
but call me thick but even if the forks and shock compress right up the bike should not deck out,? and it dose , I have the pictures to prove it,
but I guss it must just be me and my bike with the problem,

You are not alone,...I'm sure this has happened to members before,..the guy that posts as Real McCoy springs to mind. Also it happened to a Bike magazine tester recently.
I must be just not trying hard enough!
