I lived there for a year (Toowong, Brisbane) loved every minute of it!

I've spent a couple of years in total over there (Oz) , if you get the chance to go - don't think about it - just do it! There is no way you'll ever regret it!!

Brisbane is alright I suppose ...

I like Brisbane because Sydney is just London with better weather and a few beaches (IMO) whereas Brisbane is still small enough to get around easy and is close to a lot of things, 45 minute drive to Palm Beach on the Gold Coast where I grew up and all the beaches etc there.

Lovely, you won't regret it

Hi Martin,
What's the job? Just wondering as I live in Brisvegas and work for the power company here(Energex) who for the past two years have been recruiting from all over. So now we have quite alot of Brits, Scots, Irish as well as some other nationalities. They all seem to to be enjoying it here especially our winters.
Cheers, Rob

don't expect too much culture - great if you like playing "pokies" ...but as the others say it has all the advantages of living in OZ, sun/sand/sea etc
