well it generally looks like most people are still hoping to race and the majority have no concern over it beng moved away from current MT or DSC.

It is clear though that there are a number of folks that do want the change and although this is not the majority it's maybe enough to make a difference.

Admittadly this in only a proportion of those racing as many will not be using the forum or have voted, but if it's a representative sample then it could be that nearly 40% will only race if there is a change in one way or another.

I actualy think it may be lower than this in reality as many that are not forum users may not be influenced by the recent 'disputes' but some thought needs to be given as to whether there is enough new blood joining to continue it's growth if nothing changes and that 40% do not race.

A show of hands was done at the 'meeting' and an overwhelming majority were happy to stay with dsc.
The whole aura of discontent is pretty much an internet only thing that has been blown up out of all proportion. Yes there are a few tweaks needed and yes there are some personality issues but in the big scheme of DD they are minor.
The forum just exaggerates the whole issue.

It certainly seems that way. Not disregarding that some folks certainly have issues they want addressing it seems like with a few basic changes things could be resolved and the racing be the focus of attention again.

as per my opening post, it was more for my personal views (sorry if that was selfish) and I hoped that the random user would not post as it would be of no benefit.

It's def not accurate but it may well be indicative and from Couchies comments it does sound like a similar view to the Cadwell meeting.

No I didn't think it was selfish, I actually think it was quite interesting. Sorry I didn't mean my post above to come across that way. I think your hopes were a bit naive though (you know I wubs ya xx )

Fair comment about indicative, I wasn't at that meeting and I've heard conflicting reports and what was said, by whom and what was agreed. Strangely enough it seems to split along the same lines as I assume it would have prior to the meeting and as it appears here. This is the problem of not having the meeting minuted or suchlike - oh well.

Much along the lines of my comments on the first page of this thread.

Interesting poll results so far, we've a good take up for next year already, it's going to be a belter !!!
