Red face My first crash :-(

Yep, had my first off this year.

Have only beed riding for 2 years so i guess its not that big a surprise......

Was riding slowlyish around the country lanes near woking, gong round a tightening lefthander when the traffic stopped suddenly to let someone out of a driveway ahead.

I braked too harshly and locked the front wheel as was still turning...... result lowside on my T9s and dend in Mercs back bumper.....

Ho Hum..... I guess we all make mistakes

Unusually, I haven't crashed this year...but don't tempt fate, some of you may have put your bikes away for the year but I'm still riding*

*well, I will be as soon as I can get some new tyres on the ST, get it MOT'd and taxed.

Ah well..........urm.........Wasn,t sure it was broken and desperate to take advantage of my qualifying performance so thought i,d give it a go.Felt alright on the warm up lap as well until i turned left!

Went to the hospital on the Tuesday but walked out when they said that i couldn,t drive home in plaster.Got a lift down the next day and they were not to happy especially when i said i needed fixed for Oulton in 3weeks time!!!!

Funny thing is the healing has been far more painful/annoying than the break and its stil not perfect in October due to stiffness.

Anyway Nick who! lol

One for me on the road on the way to work. low speed off 5mph when car pulled out in front of me. No damage to me or bike till

Transit van following hit me. Now in wheel chair (Pelvis in kit form) till end of November. Hope to be back on a bike February. Just beware out there. It don't matter how well you ride there is always some arse that will come along and stuff you.

Just the four for me;

1. Jerez in Feb - lost the front in the wet at Angel Nieto
2. Cadwell in March - lost the front in the cold at Mansfield!!!
3. Oulton in Aug - lost the front at Mcleans, trying to go under a Gixxer.
4. Cadwell in Sep - lost the front on the grass at Charlies 2!!!

Bloody front!!

All crashed in practice though - no DNF in DD.
