LOL...I had this the other day, some bloke in a big people carrier started getting shitty with everyone going up the outside lane, so he moved acros to block everyone.

Problem was he was a good 800-1000m away from the merge, which I think is a little OTT...everyone started diving down his inside instead until the point where he couldn't get back in for sometime!!!!

But the idea ( Apparently ) if you do it correctly, is that you keep to the same speed as the traffic in lane 2 and preferably next to another white van ( or HGV ) who will twig that you are helping them to get through the roadworks quicker and will then flash you in at the merge point.
