Oh I have more............

There's a right turning lane into my place of work - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl...00339&t=k&om=1

See it there on that map? See how close it is to the A40? There's no right turn onto the A40 just before the flyover (bottom of map) Now how many people do you think use this right hand turn lane to do a U-Turn to get back onto the A40? There's a great big boody sign that says "No U-Turn for 150 Yards." How many of the people doing U-turns do you think bother to use their indicator?

At least twice a week I use my horn at some moron doing a U-Turn directly infront of me. Read the signs! Follow the law!

All I want is one police officer to be there for one week handing out tickets for illegal U-turns. That'd put an end to it.

I would ban all those little gadgets that have a very simple task in life but have been designed so that they don't do what they are supposed to...

Like tin openers that don't open tins or, even worse, corkscrews that fall to bits the first time you try and use them.

I've got a light fitting where it's virtually impossible to change the bulb without dismantling the whole thing because the bayonet fitting turns as you turn the bulb.

Mobile phone firmware on my Nokia that lets me press a little joystick key to get to the contact list, lets me use the same key to toggle through the list, lets me press the same key to select the number I want from the list....wouldn't it be logical to press it again to call the selected number...but no.

There's a hotel in Ratingen, Germany where every goddam thing is automatically triggered by sensors. The lights in your room, the toilet flushes when you walk away, the taps run just by waving your hand underneath them...but when you've got a suitcase in both hands as you leave the hotel, you'll flatten your nose against the door cos...guess what...the doors aren't automatic.

Arrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh.....designers who never try to use what they've designed...ban them all
