Hi, should work ok on a standard or mildly tuned motor, but probably to restrictive for a 'Hot' 926/955/984 race cam motor, shame it isn't a 50mm system, as it looks quite well made.

p.s. many years ago John Hacket told me that 50mm headers were the way to go. Brad at moto-one has been very helpfull via e-mail to me in the past, but some of the info he's given me has later turned out to be not quite right for my home tuned bike.

hi guys i have just checked on MCN and yes that is the bike that i got so it is not for sale anymore. ithink i got a good deal. the bike needs some TLC but that is the reason i got it for something to play with if i got a sp i would not want to change much, but this strada is going to get played with! i have a mint superlight that just gets polished and need a plaything. if anybody has any info on the 888 let me know.
i flew down lastweek to buy the bike and the guy who was going to deliver it nextday let me down and the bike arrived one week late by which time i was overseas so i have only seen the bike once i cant wait to get home!!!!

Welcome to the board graham.
You sound like our kind of idiot
I'll have a nice, ice cold guinness thank you for asking
I bought a project 851 last night, so there will be two of us going on a voyage of discovery this autumn.

If you buy them I'll have to kill you...cos I can't afford them

If they stay at the start price they're a good buy, but I doubt that they will.

According to this thread http://www.moto-one.com.au/performance/888st4ex.html it seems that 45mm systems are pretty good on Desmoquattro engines, the 50mm system it was tested against didn't offer any advantage. Mind you, these were ST4 and Ducati Performance ST4 headers and Brad Black considers the ST4 headers (45mm) about the best value performance exhaust short of the more expensive 'spaghetti' systems.

Since the Sil system is a 45mm spaghetti, it should be pretty good I would say and pretty good in the bling stakes as well.

Damn...why have the kids grown up so that i can't raid the piggy bank anymore?
