No....No....No....Have i made myself clear? The gasket is there as a silencer,to take some of the clatter away! Open clutch.. rubber gasket= waste of space! Steve
Cheers gents. Going to order up a new set of springs and also a few other bits, got some exhaust stripping and cleaning to do first and will then crack on with it.
Its not just a gasket though, its got spacers built into it. Depending on the type of pressure plate and cover you are running you may find that there are clearance issues. Certainly with the standard set up the springs will it the cover if you don't use spacers.
i have a ducati vented carbon clutch cover on my 916.i have used the rubber gasket and cut away the portion by the cut away part. without the gasket the clutch springs foul the cover.useing the gasket looked neater than packing it out with washers.
