Absolutely fantastic photos. The two sites linked make intresting reading and give directions of where to view.Excellent bike roads area aswell.

Can anyone imagine the NOISE!

Many years ago i experienced a 2 plane pass similar to this by 2 RAF Tornados turning in from the Sound of Mull into Loch Aline in Scotland.I swear to this day that i had to look down into the cockpit and the second backseater waved at me.The funny thing was i only saw them coming because of a flash of sunlight of the canopy as they banked in at such low level. There was no sound until they had gone by.........Then all hell let loose.

Incredible piccies. Slightly better than the ones I've taken with my mobile phone

We get the hawks playing low level tag in the valley where we live. I always give them a wave and this summer one came past for a second time and did a perfect barrel roll as he went past the cottage. It made my day.

Griff I know what you mean, we've had the odd Tornado through and It's enough to make you wet your pants with fright. The sheep don't even flinch!

The best one ever though was a Hercules which flew through the kink in the valley, on its side, and I swear that the wing tip was inches away from the tree tops .

And to think that they actually get paid for it as well!
