Both good on different levels I think !

Foggy was the best in his Era
Bayliss is now

equipment and skills move on with the times

best way to decide ! get Foggy to challenge Bayliss !! LOL

Foggy is still the best rider out of the two But there is not much in it !

As for foggy doing nothing in Gp's I can remember him at Donnington on a Cagiva Running in the top 3 untill the last lap when the bike ran out of fuel !

Also Bayliss was one of the first to ride the 990 and had some say in the original set up but I am not taking anything away from him, his win was bloody fantastic.

So to round up foggy is still the best but Bayliss is chewing his heels !

I've never seen a rider win with the same level of aggression and determination that Foggy had - Bayliss is not in the same class from that perspective...

...but Bayliss is more of an all round rider I reckon.

So who's best?

Does it matter - they're different riders in diffferent eras with different machinery and different competition...

Could Foggy have beaten Rossi, Hayden etc and could Bayliss have beaten Russell, Slight etc etc. who knows?

Bayliss is an awsome rider, but he aint no foggy...

It would be a great race to watch, but I think Foggy would out-phyche him and ride harder and put it on the line just that little bit more..

Foggy hated losing anything....He was like a terrier.

Plus....Anyone who wins at the TT has my respect, there are soooo many fantastic riders out there that wouldnt go near a street circuit like the TT, Northwest or Macua as its so bloody dangerous...

Foggy everytime.

You'd never have seen Foggy minceing about in lycra and playing on pushbikes.
