Mood: Just fallen in love with road riding again!
If you've only done 8000 miles in 2 years (service is based on 12000)

Then i'd suggest you get the 2 year service done, excluding the fork oil change, most reputable dealers would recommend this to be honest. the fork oil doesnt need doing until 12k min more like 15k if its used just on the road.

this will save you a fair chunk as its labour intensive to have the forks refreshed.

Also depends when it was last serviced. if you had the valve clearances done at 6000 miles then you wont need them done again until 12000, not dependand on time, so you could get this done at the next service.

Ths big serivce (without fork refresh) is about £500 inc parts, with your DSC discount.

You need to discuss it with the mechanic who will work on your bike so you can go through what will be done and get a price. dont just book in for a 'full service' (at full price!)

hope it helps.

PS DIBBLE we (Moto Rapido) are authorised dealers have been for nearly 2 years.

Will have to ring round i guess to see what the differnce is, i mean if i know i'll get quality service at DL and it only costs a negligible amount more, taking into account a 10 mile trip to get there, then travelling 100's of miles and spending a whole day waiting round doesnt seem worth it to have a specialist do it.. i think

Hi,

I ask the same kind of question a few days ago. I'm taking my 999r to JHP/Ducati Coventry as they are doing the belt service and are also fitting me a free datatool alarm together with free collection and delivery.

According to their web site you could have either the alarm or a GPS speed camera detector!!

Hope this helps you!!
