doesn't look like it would be to hard for 9## owners to make there bike look like the new model.
more interested about the single swing arm issue with the race bike. And are they going to make the race version (R) a double sided ?

Yep,thats the rumour.
Base model and 'S' will get the single sided sw/arm,(should keep the 916 shape snobs happy),while the 'R' is rumoured to have a double sided jobbie for racing.

It's pig ugly but that won't bother 999 owners looking for something new.

Think I'll just stay a 916 (and 888) snob...

Seriously tho, that pic above has been around for a while and is nowt but photoshopped speculation.
From the spy pics of the real bike, the headlights and air ducts are a completely differant shape.Seat is also shaped into the tank and not open like the 999.
I was getting pretty excited about the new bike, but the more I see of it,the less I like it.The pics of the race style dash look interesting, but thats about it.Just have to wait to Milan to see it in the flesh.

The dash and the wheels look good, but that's about it so far.

I really hope they've been on a windup and the whole bike actually looks good!
