Exclamation No tv can i survive ?

Since my sony Trinitron went pop i have had no tv for 5 days and tbh i haven't really missed it (to my surprise) i only ever had it on as background noise.
i'm quite picky with my tv viewing and never watch ITV it was also used to play my PS2 and dvd's , trying to resist buying new one but it's hard i may have to give in soon !!

this nearly tempted me this afternoon

That looks the same as mine, escellent choice if I say o myself.
Not a huge TV watcher myself, except for the racing and Top Gear, but I would feel lost without one. you knoqw we all love a bit of Clarkson

I was without TV for a year in 1990/91. Soon adapted to it.
I'm told there was a war then, something to do with the Persian Gulf? Guess I missed it.

I have somewhere in the region of 180 channels of satellite here... and only one in English... BBC World soon becomes a bit dull.... I don't miss tv at all...

I just got myself a Samsung 26" in my bed room like that the other day. Great picture and great sound for a "small" TV. Dunno if its the same model TBH. The guy 2 doors along from me has his own AV installation business and he recommends them. Dont be fooled by the £2000 plus jobbers unless youre going for a Pioneer or Panasonic, his words, not mine

I bought this TV:

http://www.cleardragon.com/televisions/CDTV32-052

Only for more than it's advertised now! It appears to be sold out at the moment though, great tv would thoroughly recommend it.

If you have more than one High Definition source you will need to buy a HD switch or have your AMP stage in your stereo take care of that for you. It only has one DVI input.

I'm pleased with it, recommended on avforums.com

i Went without a tv for years in my first flat, and it's the license thats so expensive, i don't think i'd miss it if i didn't have one, but i'd miss the play station games, and odd film i watch, but apart from that i usually have the radio or music on... THAT i would be lost without.

If you need to borrow a tele Nigel, i could lend you my portable one that's in my bedroom until you get a new one if you like, you're not too far from me if you want to pick it up ?
