As much as I want to see you on a 748 Paul, I'd let them have a look at the bike first. Have a look yourself actually too.

I'd be keen if it checks out ok, no good deal is worth buying a lemon.

Did the drugs stop working for a moment?

Wife is not keen. I am getting the 'You have not ridden the Monster much yet' and 'Do you remember how wet you were riding it back' etc etc.

And the worst one 'Just do what you want'. Reminds me of that ebay ad where 'Do what ever you want does not mean buying a fireblade (or whatever it was)'

Ahh, well .. you risk her wrath then! Just do you what you want means "I'm not going to argue with you anymore, but if you buy that goddamn bike I'll have your nuts in a jar"

Which can be loosely interpreted based on cultural differences etc etc.
