I mean have you ever seen the welding on the front edge of a 749R tank ! that's definately the Italian personal touch

Sharpy - you're coming around aren't you. You're going through the curve of denial to acceptance.

Those latest photos are fantastic. And that's just the base model.

I don't mind it.....I like all Duke's

still feel its a bit of a compramise tho'

just been out to look at my R in the garage, still doing it for me !

I think the 749R was the best looking 749/999 and the only one I would want to own 04 model carbon.

With the 1098, i'm already interested with the base model. You wait til we see a full WSBK model on the grid.

It is growing on me but i do think this new model should have been the design that replaced the 748/998 three or so years ago (sorry 999 owners) and then the designers could have really gone to town with the evolution of the 748/998 replacement now .

I know bikes are different things to different people but i truely beleive that the MV F4 was the real design upgrade to the 916 by Tamburini
