I still think that the design of the 1098 is pretty much a mix of things front light of the desmo, intakes of the 916, exhausts of the 916, rear lights like the MV and Aprilias.

Still it works quite nice as a package. Looks compact, simple around the engine, beefy around the exhausts, all good things and I would consider buying one. I just think that they should have gone with a proper beefy double sided swingarm.

I'll may consider one when the hype will be over and they will release a proper R version. In the meantime, I need to finish that SPS project and get myself a T8 SP4.

Still well done Ducati, because a 999 was never going to be on my shopping list.

"I can't think of many other people who have bought successive generations of Ducati over many, many years, I guess if you were as old as Monty you would have had every Model (motorcyclewise )"

Oi, Ray, I represent that remark.........

I have been thinking how I will try to find a crash damaged one and shoehorn the motor into the ST4S-now that would be one sick motorcycle-Yeehaa.

Talking

Well after a break from Ducati's with a GSXR750 K6 ( anyone want to but one? ) i've put a deposit on a 1098S with Riders in Bristol, now have the long wait until April and months of thumbing through the accessories catalogue

Wink

Having read BIKE magazine on the 1098 I would love one, looking at the pictures time & time again. I think it looks Gorgeous.

Don't think I will get one this side of the London Olympics though. ( if they ever get the stadiums finished that is )

If I start saving now you never know!!!!
