A suitable response
Thought you might be interested to see what I sent MCN!!

"How is it that your journalist is getting an "exclusive" ride on the "S" when several other publications have already gone to press on it and ridden it. Motociclismo for one (who's article, from their Dec issue, you plagarised incidentally claiming it as your own, or Mr Franklin's, whichever) and Cycle World, who already have it on their front cover. Do keep up MCN, you are losing out to better informed publications, who print valid facts, not sensationalistic waffle which is largely unfounded. Perhaps that says a lot of your product as it is resembling more and more these days a two wheeled version of a tabloid...all talk and pictures and no substance. You know you would do well to look through some of the more information rich forums such as www.ducati.ms or www.1098-forum.com, as on there you will find a plethora of information, which somehow lands on your pages well after the event."

I take it they are quoting 172 bhp from the sea level at the crank figures, else the journalist is going to be very disappointed at the circuit's 6000ft altitude. In any case the officially quoted figure is 154bhp plus the perhaps optimistic 10bhp from the kit. They are obviously not very good at basic maths, quite apart from their journalistic (skills?).
