| Can't wait, finish tomorrow with a company Christmas lunch at a very nice pub, same place we went to last year! Not back until 8th January, yippee !!!! |

Oh yeah. That's why I'm working my nuts off this week. I'm running a major project for a customer that goes live on Jan 8th, so I've got loads to do before the the enforced break at Christmas when both my company and the customers has a week shutdown. I took over this project from someone who left the company, so why the hell they chose Jan 8th as the go-live date with the Christmas break just before it I'll never know. This week is a bit like sitting in a plane going to do a free fall parachute jump, frantically busy checking that all the preparations have been made properly. Next week will be like an awful silence where I step out of the plane and everything will go into slow motion - hoping that when I pull the ripcord on Jan 8th everything will work and that I've done all the harness straps up. | half day tommorow, followed by a proper works pis up midday till we rop not back till the forth all the shoping done all i need now is a few dry(ish) days to get out and play |
