Dazza,
I imported my ST2 from Australia at start of 02, and it costed bugger all to get registered here. All I had to do was get an MOT, tax it and register it, all up about 200 quid. At that point there was no specific requirements for additional vehicle certification that applied to bikes, but I understand they were looking at changing the rules. When I talked to Ducati UK they were suggesting I had to change the speedo and a couple of other bits to get it to UK spec, but the local bike shop that did the MOT had no problems passing it as it was.
