Sorry...but I think oil and filters is one area on Dukes where you REALLY DO NOT want to try and make savings.
I've gone over to K&N oil filters as they are great quality and have a nut built into the end cap to make them easy to get on and off.
From memory they were only about £12 each.
Likewise even though pretty skint most of the time I used to use Mobil 1 oil which I now realise is probably OTT.....I managed to find a good cheap supply of (I think) Duckhams QXR which I'll be trying next.
