Mood: happy bike passed MOT
As read in several bike mags from reputable bike bods new bikes nowadays are best run by letting the bike rev freely through the gears (the odd bit over that rev limit you've been given won't do any harm ) with a lower grade oil for the first 500 or so miles to bed in then change for top spec oil at the first service the main thing with a new bike is not to let the engine labour when running in (this can cause the bores to glaze ) .

oh welcome aboard too
