Chillo, the RS motors are very different animals to what you get in a street bike. For starters, the newer the motor the more horsepower it makes. That is, every year the new motor that's put into the race bikes makes more horsepower than the one from the previous year. That's the reason Frankie uses the latest customer spec motor. He put it into the 998 because he likes the front end feel better. Another interesting aspect is that this year's factory race motor shares no internal components with last year's motor. And all of the internal components are not found in street motors. Bore and stroke they may share, but that's where it ends. |
