IIRC 48-50 at the real wheel is par for the course on a Class B bike.

Dynos can vary a bit though and there are a lot of things that can affect the real wheel horsepower other than how good the engine is.

Was the dyno operator happy that is as good as the engine can manage. Did they give any feedback on the fuelling?

You'll find out for sure if you are down on HP on the long journery to the first corner.

Mine is running std ignitors at 52bhp, As Kev has said I would get the cam timing checked out, Mind it would have thought it would have to be a fair way out to lose circa 20% HP
What spec is the motor?? Airbox, Pipe,Jetting Etc
As has been said what is the fueling like on the dyno sheet, I think you need to scan and post it up here.

I think the max the CB5's can have is 54, although mine is 49 last few times it's been on a dyno, most are around that level, although my bike has not been serviced apart from oil change in 4 years and is blowing a bit on an old exhaust so probably a bit lower these days, certainly, people who ride it think it's a slow one by comparison to other CB5's.

It would fit nicely in the DD Class B 'Allcomers' race.
