Mood: Channel Swim is now a (bad) memory not a dream
yuk, glad I'm not at that meeting. If you are far from Donny, it means turning up Friday night, scrut in the morning, 20 mins session then nothing for 24 hours! Then they make you stay until 5.15 + packing up and it will be a late drive home for some on Sunday night, all for two races. Some of the other decisions also seem weird, 125's are only Saturday 10 min practice and one race 6 laps only, who would make the trip for that? What a waste of money. I may be out of touch, but with NE we used to get a practice and two races on both days, ie 6 sessions on track in the weekend and you could sometimes blag a second practice pass.
if you look at it it is because it is the Moto six and effectively we are guests.
There are only a few classes (us/125 and lansdowne) that only get one practice and then 2 races. If we don't get split grids as well then it is going to be pretty dull for DD
I think we need to wait and see how the discussions go with RC and New Era tomorrow and take it from there.
Yea the saturday thing is what put a bee in my Bonnet, As it stands I will have to close the shop on my busiest day of the week to pick my nose in the paddock, Still havent had a good clearout for a while. Lets just hope that everyone gets their entries in by tomoz and we can have a better weekend than is currently on the schedule. Glyn

Well at least you can pick it at a race circuit rather than a bike shop in sunny cleethorpes
First time out with DD, will have a 540 mile round trip, hope not to fall off as that would be a real bummer!!!!
I am used to the classics where they have pretty much binned qualifying, you get a practise, then grid position for the first race on championship points, there after your race finish is your grid position.
I am never able to do all rounds, thus tend to get mid field grid position for first race and work my way up. Good racing, a lot of fun, which is what it is all about.
Seems a lot of practise and not so much on the racing, but hope to get as much track time, and I am sure it wil all work itself out, and when the racing starts it will be all nice and friendly, well maybe not on the first corner of the first lap!!!!

I take my hat off to you Steve for showing such commitment. The first corner is the best, just get stuck in there and don't give a quarter or a third or anything. Your all lucky bastids I just wish I could be with you all again, Oh how I've missed the paddock.
