| Not having owned either a 749 or 999 but was wondering if the eccentric adjuster is the same as the ones found in 748s, 916s etc, or is it slightly different.
just thining that maybe as is often the case with track bikes it has been rebuilt after an accident and the wrong part used.
The locating pin is just to make sure it is in the exact position and it should clamp up tight without the locating pin
