Thanks Guys, sounds like it is a bit thirsty I just wanted an idea so I can tell the dealer when I take it back, it is cutting out on tick-over and also backfires around 4000 rpm, so they are going to re-tune. Will let you know the result.

Hmmm. Mine cuts out on tickover sometimes, usually when at the lights next to a moped... Look like a right tit.

100 miles fuel light comes on - 2004 749s standard exhaust

999s with asymetric termis - anything between 85 - 115miles when the low fuel light comes on. You will get quite a low figure if you dont brim it when you fill up. I always sit on the bike holding the bike absolutely vertical (hell I sometimes get fuel coming out the overflow when I park it back on the stand).

Do you fill it up on the sidestand?

Hi, I do fill it up on the side stand but right to the top just before it spills out, working out the mpg on what it has used since the last fill up etc. works out about 35mpg.
