Because it was a Class B bike entered in Class A
and is assumed to be a legal 583 Class B bike, but as it was entered in Class A it is not open to be protested under Class B rules and therfore wasn't competeing for the class B points or lap records.

i sort of understand what your saying, and i'm not trying to take anything away from Matt as thats an awesome time, and as stated above, he rode the wheels off that thing!

but, if he was entered as class A, then his laptime cant stand as a lap record or circuit best record as it wasnt the fastest in the class.

In WSB, do the twins, triples and IL4's have a different set of circuit best records because of the cc difference?

I thought we did have another circuit best lap for Oulton at one time when Cobby rode Harriets bike in the Class B race (seperate Grids) in that case it was the rider that wasn't eligable for Class B so didn't count as a lap record.

But was still noted a s a circuit best time for a 583cc Class B bike

That time has now been beaten by Sam West so is no longer included

Whilst its nice to have the lap time i did acknoledged, i can see what Trouty is saying as it actually doesn't count for anything.

If it did you would have to include one off laps from qualifying too, as i went quicker than cleggy's lap record in qualifying at Assen last year and there are bound to be other results too from last year or this year where riders lapped quicker in qualifying than they did in the race.

....oh and personaly, i dont want to talk about donnington 2008!!
