Not having a 749, but could it be a case of the TPS needing resetting, I know they need resetting if you swap ECUs but how are they affected by either battery removal orbattery volts dropping below a certain level.

As 'Its Me' also suggests checking the TPS I would get along to a Ducati specialist and have it checked/reset

The unfortunate thing with a T9/749 TPS, is they are not adjustable physically. They are part and parcel of the throttle body. The TPS on these has to be zeroed out using Ducati Mathesis equipment.

749 cutting out
thanks to everybody for going to the trouble to sort me out .i think i will have to go to leeds .to see the ducati man .i am sure i will have more questions in the future .as i am relatively new to ducatis .thanks again, pedro.

battery
hi said it would not be long before i would be back.would taking the battery and housing of send the datatool alarms of on one .as i think i need to remove them to replace some of the coolant hoses .
