Is the JHP chip adjustable though? If not, you're stuck with the map it offers, which may or may not be decent. And you'd need to get on a dyno to check, set it up (if its adjustable).

Not too many can set the FIM up either and its now obsolete.

So I'd go Power Commander route, far more options in terms of rolling road / dyno centres who can set this up for you. And you can link in a quick shifter to the PCIII which is nice!!

There's newer versions of the PC (V?) out too, that have much more configurability, if that takes your fancy.

FIM made a superb eprom for the 996 that ran on 1 injector per cylinder vs. the stock 2 per cylinder.
No other eprom does this. As rattler mentioned, only the FIM were adjustable to, albeit with the FIM software.
Try Sigma Performance as Neil may have a few left???

If not, i'd go down the PC route but whilst having it mapped, do the single injector mod and have the fuelling sorted to suit. The 996 really does run well on that set up.

Thanks indeed TO YOU ALL.

I will look into this a little more, I was thinking FIM, but taking into consideration they no longer trade maybe a PC would seem senisble.

Regards.

Seconded. Nelly did the single injector mod on my 996 and it made a world of difference.

Cheers

Neil just out of interest do you know what the duty cycle of the single Injector is at full throttle and peak revs with the above FIM setup. Not that many 996s on the road run flat out for any real amount of time

I'm pretty sure the rev limiter was shifted 500rpm higher, so 10750 limiter or so. The single injector at 3 bar is good for about 135 - 140 bhp i think.
