Paul I think you will find my pegs are futher back than yours, if I fit a reverse pattern lever the gear change toe peg ends up in the same place as the 916 one currently on it.
I could get more adjustment by fitting set of adjustable 916 pegs, the sort where the footrest is on a cam and the plates have a couple of different mounting holes.
