You've answered my main concern on whether they would foul the swing arm. I believe the 996 had 5.5" rims & the 1098 has 6" rim so the tyre should fit better.

The RSV4 special runs a 200/55 on a 6" rim with the option of dropping to a 190. So the 6" rim must be OK.

I never get to the edge of my tyres anyway & was only looking at 200/55 because these are expected to be the main size of scrubs this year. I'll buy one and see how it works for me.
